Fish... Fish... and more Fish

The FIL leaves tomorrow after 2 weeks of fun in the sun (err I mean some sun and mostly cloudy or rainy). All in all we had a good time and he is going home with a bounty of fresh and smoked salmon.

Several fishing trips produced some good salmon and in between fishing we smoked several batches. Here the Mrs. is landing one at the Olds River

They even caught a couple of pinks that were still fresh and smokable

The FIL got to assist with the Mrs.' subsistence fishing program and after a day out on the water they harvested 40 salmon (a lot less work for me this time) of which he was able to keep a few and the rest being distributed to the Native Elders.

Here Scotty and the FIL wait by the shore for the fish to start filling the net
So all in all he ate well while here with lots of halibut, salmon, smoked salmon even a venison pot roast for dinner tonight. He also got to try reindeer sausage from the Mrs.' homemade reindeer ravioli
