Tourists again

With the craziness going on with our sudden departure, we have found ourselves playing tourist in our home town. The FIL is visiting for 2 weeks and we are making a concentrated effort to hit all the hot spots and do all the things there are to do here one last time for not only him but for ourselves. One of the things we have attempted (fruitlessly so far) is to catch sight of one last bear on the Buskin. I watched one bounce across the road the other day at 6:00 AM in front of me but no camera and it happened to fast to count as a "real" bear sighting (I'm spoiled)

We took a trip up to the top of Piller Mtn to catch the sunset and pick some cranberries. You East Coasters are saying.. huhhhh, no cranberries grow in bogs down low. Well in sub alpine areas we have low bush cranberries, a little smaller than the ones back home.
