The Mrs. and the FIL standing on the bank of the Buskin River watching for the nightly bear that walks the river for salmon.
We took a trip up to the top of Piller Mtn to catch the sunset and pick some cranberries. You East Coasters are saying.. huhhhh, no cranberries grow in bogs down low. Well in sub alpine areas we have low bush cranberries, a little smaller than the ones back home.
Picking the cranberries. Japhy found the low bush a great scratching post and rolled around on his back the whole time
If you can zoom in Japhy's face looks like a bat and if you can don't look to the left ... he is getting to happy rolling
The Mrs. pointing out some of the different places in Kodiak from the birds eye view
A nice shot with Woman's, Middle and Chiniak Bay in the background
The FIL catching one of his first Alaskan Salmon of 2007
