Another Day Another Gallery

The other day we visited the Sackler Gallery. Dr. Arthur M. Sackler was a Medical Researcher, Publisher and Art Collector who (now) through his foundation loans out some of the 1000 pieces of Chinese Art from his collection.

A vase from the Jiangxi Province of China. It was made during the Qing Dynasty between 1662 - 1722

A Daoist Stela from the Northern Zhou Dynasty inscribed and dated 572

A tomb guardian from the 8th century Tang Dynasty. I didn't know a breakfast drink needed a guardian.

A Ritual Bell from the Zhou Dynasty somewhere between the 10th and 9th century B.C.

Another Stela, this one is a Buddhist one from the early 6th century.
