And Yet Another Festival

This past weekend while we were in the city we came across the Capital Pride Festival and decided to peruse through the event. DC hosts one of the biggest Gay Pride events in the country, which I found interesting seeing as monday - friday I see more stuffy grey suits in this city. All in all it was a fun time with lots of food, music and our new fav beer (Yuengling, the Mrs. PBR replacement).....

They had some cool wheels on display including this T-Bird.

They shut down a 3 block stretch of Pennsylvania Ave for the fest.

There were lots of booths were you could sign up to win free things (ya right, can you say mailing lists) but the Mrs. did sign up at this booth because of the following sign.

Not surprisingly there were a lot of Obama people signing people up and also the DNC Booth there. Lacking was the McCain and RNC crowd.

Ironically or on purpose I don't know, the festival took place in front of the new "Newseum" that just opened here. On the side of the building is the First Amendment. (more on the newseum when we visit).

This video is only funny if you have seen the Boondock Saints and William Dafoe's character.
