Starting to melt

The spring here has been perfect beside side stepping a few tornados (one of which touched down 5 miles from the casa). Now we are starting to see the heat of summer rearing her ugly head. The heading on our local forcast reads.... Excessive heat watch in effect from Saturday morning through Monday afternoon... and the forcast is...

Saturday
Mostly sunny. Hot with highs in the upper 90s. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Heat index values up to 110.

Sunday
Mostly sunny. Hot with highs in the upper 90s. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Heat index values up to 110.

Monday
Mostly sunny. Hot with highs in the mid 90s. Heat index values up to 110.

Now some of you in K-town that are dodging raindrops coming at you sideways in 40 degree weather and have your Ark almost complete might be saying quit whining, but you can always throw on a slicker and extra clothes, but you can only take off so much clothing here without getting arrested.

Sweet Jebus, that's hot. I'm unfamiliar with the concept of "heat index." Is that the opposite of wind chill?

Yo Bro

Just an FYI we made it back in 4 pieces. 9 1/2 hour drive. Got in at 6 a.m. It's now 11 & I'm typing this in my sleep. Good to see you guys. Hope you "sweat less" when we see you next.

Back to bed
