A friend asked where the closest sports bars are, well we have 2 one being Murphy's and the other is Pat Troys. Both are Irish pubs and we have been frequenting Pat Troys more then Murphy's as it seems to be more neighborhood oriented.
Pat Troy's is only 5 blocks from the house and is very law enforcement and military friendly
Pat is a local Icon around here and while right off the boat from Ireland he is a big supporter of people in our services
Besides several smaller TVs they have a big screen for all the games including this night when the Patriots were on. Oh and Irish football is on at least one of the TVs
This is our new best friend, well second best friend after Scott the bartender. His name is Billy and he is the bouncer / doorman. Bring him a bottle of Jack Daniels and your guaranteed to not get thrown out (and he'll share it with you as he keeps it hidden in the bushes outside)
They have live music every night (irish music of course) except Sundays and they also have a pipes and drums group that plays there once a month
That's Pat up at the mic, I forget if he was telling a joke or what, but after being served the stiffest drinks I think I've had at any bar everybody laughs
