Another Day Another Restaurant

Last night we tried another Restaurant called King Street Blues, it is known for its "comfort food with a southern accent" and after this past week we needed comfort food. The Mrs. opted for some BBQ pork chops, southern greens, mashed potato with corn bread. I on the other hand went with the pulled pork sandwich mopped with their own Mahogany BBQ Sauce.

The front of the building, the atmoshere is very friendly The interior has been a work in progress created by over a half dozen artists. Three quarter life size paper mache characters fill the dining rooms and the bar has a backdrop of colorful, nostalgic and whimsical murals. But the heart of King Street Blues is the menu created around childhood memories of car trips down US Route 1, stopping at wonderful roadside restaurants.

Some of the paper mache figures on the outside of the building

The Mrs. enjoying her dinner, the smile says it all
