We ventured into the city for today's adventure but not a lot of photo ops as most of the places we went I have already posted photos. Our big adventure was to the Corcoran Gallery. We have been anticipating this trip for two reasons, mine is they had an Ansel Adams Exhibition. I have admired his black & white work for years, especially the Yosemite collection. The Mrs' reason was the Annie Leibovitz Exhibition, which was also truly amazing with the photographs (many famous ones) that were on display. For a sampling here is a Google search for her photos including this one of John & Yoko taken just hours before he was murdered. The girl was also excited because being the little artist in training that she is her favorite artist is Claude Monet and they happened to have an original Monet named Willows of Vetheuil. Sorry for all the links but as you can imagine they frown on cameras in the gallery.
The Girl and me on the urban suburban for our trek in to DC
This is as close as the camera came to documenting our adventure
Eagerly anticipating our $80 (ouch)lunch at McCormick & Schmick's. I also tried for a photo op in front of the White House but the kiddos adamantly refused to have their pictures taken there.
