Not much happening these days, but I will add a few pics of some of what we have been up to. We took a hike along one of our favorite trails yesterday and took a few shots. This is an old abandoned stable at the start of the trail, kind of cool with the moss growing on the roof.

This is the end of the trail, Piedmont Pt. overlooking the Gulf of Alaska. This is a nice short 2 mile hike and is covered over so it makes for good hiking in inclement weather

Welcome to the preferred mode of transportation here in Kodiak. We probably have more float planes in and out of here in a day then a medium size airport has regular planes.

Meanwhile back on the homefront, crack kitty has been up to her usual tricks, like watching toilet paper spinning wildly off the roll

Had some friends over last night for handmade rosemary/sun-dried tomato foccacia, smoked salmon dip, artichoke / spinach dip, brushetta and various antipasto-like toppings. Yum! We also drank copious amounts of wine, solved all of the world's problems, and laughed our asses off. (I wasn't laughing this morning though).

We also got to meet this little girl, the newest member of the Kodiak adventure club. She is an 8 week old husky / lab mix named Luna. Well that's all the news / pictures fit to print for now. Its the start of a three day weekend so hopefully we'll have some exciting adventures to write about.
