then we broke out the munchies. nothing better then some good sharp cheddar and pepper jack cheese, sausage and sourdough bread to fill you up.
And what better ale for a winters trek to the beach but a little Alaskan Winter Ale.
Japhy probably enjoyed the day better then anyone else, of course he couldn't understand why we would not throw the frisbee for him for the whole 5 hours we were there.
Once settled in they told us stories about crazy school bus rides (public transit in Belize) where they pack you in like sardines and drive like crazy around curvy roads. Also about the exotic animals they saw on their trip along with diving and the food and people.
Probably the most envious tales told were not about warm climates but about eating fresh juicy oranges, grapefruits and pineapples. Usually when we get citrus this time of year in Kodiak its a day or so away from going bad. We in turn told them stories of snow snow and more snow here while they were gone. All in all a great day to get out and soak up rays.
