Termination Pt. Part 3 - Dam Flying Beavers

Work with me on the title.....

These are the final photos of the hike, again nasty weather has limited our activities and as of now it looks like Memorial Day Weekend is awash as far as camping. We are tough enough but our idea of getting away and relaxing for a few days in solitude doesn't include soggy and cold.

We finally made it to the point and chilled out in the grass for a bit. In true Kodiak fashion the nice warm sun we had oh an hour ago had now given way to a low cool fog bank that came through. That's Spruce Island off in the distance

Here comes the fog rolling across the mountains

While at the Point we had this Beaver fly overhead very low

Someone lose a buoy??? washed up on the beach in a remote area was this what appears to be a channel marker or some form of aid to navigation

After we zigged instead of zagged and went down a different trail we came across this Beaver Pond. While that looks like a bank it is actually a very well made Dam the beavers made

To illustrate how well built I stood on one side of it and my head was at the water level, again these are just sticks, logs, moss and some grass holding this thing in place
