Off the Beaten (bike) Path

Another gorgeous day here in paradise so we hit the road to hike. First our friend Frank stopped by for a visit and to bring us a loaf of his homemade Pumpkin bread (the Mrs. was happy, not me), we got all excited talking about Baseball FINALLY starting today. From there we started out at the harbor to check for Orcas but instead found 4 bull Sea Lions swimming around.

Its hard to see in the picture but each one of these guys is easily over 1000 lbs

The Mrs. watches as they swam toward to harbor entrance. These were by far the biggest we have seen especially together.

From there we went and hiked an old abandoned military road that was snow covered and has some great views of Barometer Mtn. Feels funny hiking through snow when its so warm out but it makes it harder to walk the 4 miles we went.

This is Barometer in the background, it rises 2500'

The range behind the Mrs. is called Sawtooth

We got stuck in another Kodiak traffic jam on the way but no biggy
